Greetings from beyond the grave

You might remember me, I remember some of you.
It is pretty f'd up that I got EQ for my 16th birthday... and I am now sitting here 7 years later at the age of 23. Damn, where does the time go?

I sucked when I first started my mmo experience, I laugh when I look back at it now. I sure did die a whole hell of a lot! I got better over time, and somehow turned into a necro vetran before I quit for good.

Between EQ and Vanguard I have tried playing, SWG, FF11, CoH/CoV, WoW, and D&D. I was looking for something different and they all added marginal entertainment in a few areas I guess but nothing ever lived up to EQ.

I am sorry though guys, I didn't know you all had XK together untill today and I have a lvl 20 kojani dragon monk. People say that monks are broken, but I have no problem with slaughtering everyone and everything within my level range.

I got my gf into mmos... I am not so sure that is a good thing or not. But anyway, she plays Vanguard too, as a necro... a woman after my own heart right? ... well in RL she isnt very necro. But anyway if I were to re-roll, I am not so sure I could convince her to start over too.

My character's name is Oniwaka... wierd sounding name right? WAKKA WAKKA FOZZY BEAR! right? no... I am not a muppet. I was going for the nickname given to a legendary japanese warrior monk. It means "Devil's Child"
He was a pretty cool guy and died in a glorious way, so I decided it would be a cool name for my monk... that and it is fitting because my nickname at the bus stop was DEVIL BOY.

Alright, I looked for the name Keaki and seen there was a level 1 Necro with that name that was offline. I wasn't sure if that was you or some other Keaki.

I am level 9 now.
Seretogis sent me some items in the mail that helped me kill things quicker.

I wonder how mad my gf will get if i continue to leave her behind in levels... heh

That was my favorite robe! I will have to find an equivalent in this game. I cant believe you remembered that though! I totally forgot about that. I still remember the comment someone once gave me "Nice FBR, Wanna F***?" That comment alone made me know that I was a legend in that thing.

I am lvl 13... well actually close to lvl 13. I am not quite sure if I am enjoying pvp as much on my blood mage as I did on my monk. It is too early to tell though I guess. I think I need to work on getting my resists up so I can slaughter the next sorcerer that tries to gank me.

Who can forget Waltr? I remember in Plane of Hate, you would die every pull even with Feign Death :D You probably died more in PoH then I ever did lol!

Yeah I remember dying a lot too.
Good times.
Once I finally learned the importance of gear, I started dying less but because I always had crazy ideas, I would often do suicidle things.

I saved someone from dying last night, named Xanit... healed him before he died to lizards. Does he have any relation to this guild or was it just a coincidence?

im lvl 14 now... 6 more levels till 20

i am also leveling crafting skills and mining and quarrying
the goal is to be able to make resist jewlery at some point

I do hope that I can find time to get to 50 and raid with you guys once again.

At lvl 14, I just figured out organ harvesting and creating symbiots to cast certain spells... I am having fun with the mind control spell.

I also got my crafting to lvl 7!

We will have to start a dying competition! Whoever dies the most gets a prize... the money for their repair bill? No... it has to be something cooler then that. Suggestions are welcome.

I got lvl 15 today, little more then half way to 16... so i have 4 and a half levels to go.

I made myself a basalt figurine as an offhand item... 2 intelligence and 14 spell damage! Pretty good item if you ask me... A Grade.

I am trying to figure out how to make the quartz jewelery. It lists some quartz gems, some of which I have, it lists a brittle basalt support and some cleaner and the tools... I have that stuff. Not sure what I am missing.

and i picked up diplomacy again, was doing that on my other character too
