Previous MMOs?

I understand that plenty of you all know each other, but i'm curious what other MMOs you guys have played. Personally I've only played Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft. I think 98.7688265% of the world plays or has played World of Warcraft. Anyone ever play FFXI? Anyways, just my way of breaking the ice and learning a little about your MMO history, i'll learn the rest when we get a chance to party in Vanguard.

Btw, names Veria in Vanguard, I'm definitely a dude IRL... Usually I would never make a female in a game (and never have until now), but Dark Elf Females 4tw imo. I'll say dude alot ingame, hopefully that gives the hint.

EQ for nearly 5 years

DAoC for a few months, was too hooked on EQ to quit it though

SWG for around 6 mos, had high hopes, kept hoping it would get better, it didn't.

Beta'd and then played Planetside, had a lot of fun with it.

Beta'd EQ2, but was burnt out from EQ at the time, plus I thought it was a little bland, felt like it didn't have the soul that EQ did.

FFXI for about 9mos, RL friend got me into it, quit when the grind got worse than EQ, and that's sayin a lot.

World of Warcraft for well over a year, had a lot of fun with it, best pvp I've found in an MMO so far, but it annoyed me because they dumbed it down so much, felt like it was on perma EZ Mode all the time.

And now Vanguard, which so far I'm absolutely loving. Sure it will be nice when they get more bugs ironed out, but it has the challenge I want, the more "realistic feel" instead of the cartoons of WoW, and Brad and the guys can build a vibrant, living, interesting mmo world like no others in the business.

Pretty sure I've skipped a couple in there somewhere, but that's most of them.

I played DAoC from launch until the release of Shrouded Isles. I was a PvP junkie on the Hib\Tristan realm\server.

I also played Shadowbane beta and launch until they started consolidating all the servers. Played that game for several years as well. If only a game would take the DAoC engine and mechanics to combine with the concepts of Shadowbane (city building, siege warfare, etc)... that would be my ideal game. But I'm drawn to PvP. So here I am.

Warhammer online is the one I'm hoping will quelch my thirsts.

DAoC held the only good objective driven PvP that I liked.

I was a part of the original XK on eq1 Vallon Zek back in the day. I quit shortly after Kunark was released after my shammy hit 55 and I got bored.

I won't have too much time to play Vanguard but when I'm on it'll be a pleasure getting reacquainted with my old XK buds and meeting those I don't know.

Dark Sun Online was my first introduction to the MMO, played on the Total Entertainment Network. It was an incredible experience...

I like Vanguard a lot so far. After playing all of these games, my biggest incentive to play (next to having pretty decent game of course) is a reliable group of cool people to play with.

School is holding me back from being on very much right now; hopefully I can get my ass in gear soon enough to catch up with the rest of yas.

EQ - level 65 necro - about 6 years or so (was in XK for a large portion of time)
DAOC - not very long - 12 ranger or something (XK also)
Shadowbane - ever shorter than DAOC
Planetside - like.... 2 days if that
City of Heroes - for about 2 months
WoW - for nearly a year - 60 Shaman
EQ2 - for probably 4 months - 58 Bruiser
Astonia III - decent mmo, fun for maybe a month, but I played for about 3 - 45 Arch Saiyan
FFII - not even 3 hours lawl gay

Vanguard - I can see this one being up at the EQ level of gameplay.

was introduced to MMO's by UO (didnt play at the time as i had no pc or internets).. used to watch my friend play constantly. Some of the huge battles he got in were what sucked me into the genre.

as for me..

DAoC - started on HIB percival as a elf Nightshade.. kinda gimped but thats how i roll baby. This was prolly a couple months after release... lvling as a rogue SUCKED balls. I was a huge PvP junkie tho... hell i spent so much time pvping that i went broke from not getting any coinage. I started in a small guild that only had 3 active players (me being the most active), eventually became the GM, brought the guild up to 50 players and a few forts. Had to take a break over xmas. Came back it was down to 10 players. I quit a few times and came back over the years. In the end i was the last of the guild, even tho i could still claim forts with all the points i was earning in pvp. Eventually disbanded the guild and joined my old hunting friends from DMK. Thats were i left it.

Shadowbane - my next move... was thre from day 1. was in the Black company under the Rolling30s. I forget what server but man.... that was the best pvp game ever (minus the crashing every hour hehe). Came back when the new server was released but couldnt find a guild to hang with so i quit again. I was various class/races in that game but mainly a Mage Assasin. I used to kill anyone and everyone... quit fun.

WoW - played that with my friends from DMK. was on the pvp servers.. it was kinda pussy but i had fun for a bit. Did several rogues on there. Quite with battlegrounds came out.

Tested L2 - it was alright but too much of a grind.

Guild wars - eh i play it off and on... its fine since its free heheeh

there are a few others but i forget what all... basically i dont play any anymore (outside of vanguard) as there are no good pvp games out.

Guild Wars beta was the first MMO that I played, and I was hooked. Got sick of waiting for beta weekends, so I jumped on WoW.

Played World of warcraft for around 2 years. I had a 70 warrior and 60 hunter on Burning Blade Only got through the first 4 bosses in naxx.

STW for around 1 year before they killed it Weaponmaster, Doctor, Riflemen, Carbineer, Commando, Creature tamer.

FFXI for around a year id say i had a Black Mage/ White mage
