The second is the better of the two...

I really hate those hazing paddle weapons as someone called them, but the way the tank walks in video 2 is very nice - Not all fairy like. Video 2 is the first thing Ive seen that makes me think Darkfall actually exists.

You forgot to mention the part about open beta being FINSIHED by early december, mentioned in the update previous to the one with these videos. Closed beta invites should be going out any day now. They already stated the beta periods will only be stress tests as everyone knows people dont test shit in beta they just try to get a jump start on the game. Amazing it took this long for devs to realize this...

The feedback does sound good. But at the same time it has a very 'informercial' kind of feel.

Darkfall has changed my life, and the kids just love it!

Or maybe you play on the Euro server for 2 to 3 weeks to learn the game and then switch over to a NA server?

I mean, I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure thats what most will do.

Plus during those 2 to 3 weeks you can act like a total asshat because you'll be leaving the server soon anyways. Just don't use the same name when you move servers.

lol, qft. Even though I think it was unbalanced and I got pwned a lot, I do miss the pvp. While I do still like Warhammer, one thing that I have learned again from it is that I don't particular care for hard coded teams in pvp, especially when there are only two teams.

id argue that , was vanguard better than warhammer a year + ago , most definitely yes... is it anywhere close to as good as warhammer now, imo not in the least...

Though I'm not playing either right now , mostly because of school , if i were to play an mmo at this moment , it would be warhammer. I love sandbox open mmo's like vanguard , but i wouldn't even consider playing that game today. Screw paying a company who constantly ignores its fanbase and deletes posts that questions their motives... Vanguard was dead a long time ago.

I actually did laugh out loud. Wouldn't losing negative stamina be the same as gaining stamina? Also, I don't think I really need to worry about .0000001 stamina (silly double rounding error, stick to ints for stats devs!). At the very least, set a precision!

I've got mixed feelings about it, but I would definitely like to try it out. I've read that they're supposed to give people the option to try the game somehow before buying it. If they do that, I will without doubt be doing just that. If there isn't some option to try it before buying, I will most likely still check it out, but I'm not certain. So....

Do you think full loot PVP will make you want good gear so you have a better shot at winning or will you max a certain skill or two and go half naked with crap gear, that way if you win it's a lotto ticket and if you lose...big whoop.

I'd do things like I did in UO.. Don't go out in your best stuff if you're not well prepared, and even then be prepared to lose your stuff, always keep some reserves stashed for those times you find yourself butt naked.. Also, make sure Mendan doesn't find you while you're naked, or his enchanted tattoos will attack you.

if by "owning the server" you mean were able to put 30+ people together to raid pve content and dabble in zerg raid group pvp once or twice a week then i would have to give that honor to xanit k'ven instead, they were far more organized and skillful on an individual basis than ebonlore was, whats more is i can not recall one of their members ever teleporting underneath of the world or taking off at lightspeed to avoid an asskicking at my hands either.
