so tell me about it, i've done a little bit of reading on it and i think i am going to buy it tomorrow but im still curious about it.

How is the pvp, skill based or is it more like wow where if you get the jump on someone it seemed like you could win almost every time.

Also is there any kinda of enchanter like class? crowd control has always been my favorite job in games but i didnt see a enchanter type class....

just curious if anyone has anything to say about it, i will probably buy it tomorrow regardless though.

Not so much on the enchanter class. I really wish there were something like that, though.

The pvp is really fun, reasonably balanced, and very accessible. You can queue for PvP scenarios from anywhere in the world (even at level 1) and be whisked away to some instant pvp action. The RvR is fun, but there isn't enough of it happening yet in my opinion. Once they implement better rewards and revamp the system a bit (they already announced they are doing this in their first patch, 1.1) the RvR will really be the high point of the game.

Ultimately, we're all having a lot of fun with it. It's not perfect...certainly nothing like Vallon Zek on EQ was, but it's the best we have at the moment.

Seriously though, I get depressed seeing the more order needed on Monolith message. Has there been any consideration to maybe move once this opens up? It stinks having all of us old VGers spead over so many different servers. Praag/Wolfenburgh/Bechafen I believe are where most are playing.

The only thing that's keeping me from wanting to go to an open server is the way I understand the chicken rule works. You can't visit any content that's more than one tier below you without being chickened right? If that's the way it works, i don't want to do it. Once you hit 32, that essentially means that the pve content for levels 1-21 is locked out to you. That means I can't even go back and get tome unlocks. If they changed it so that you only got chickened when engaging with an opposing team player or a same team player that's engaging with an opposing team player that's more than one tier below you, I would have been all for rolling on an open server from the start.

Game seems pretty fun i got in running last night.
Am a lvl 5 Rune Preist atm. But like wat is everyones name that is playing this, i tried to do a /who all Xanit K'ven and acendency but apparently /who all isnt the right command or something like that. I saw a couplke Xanits in the battlegrounds when i lvling just wanting to maybe find some more of yall and get some lvls in or atleast give me someone to talk to while i grind away.

You can do a /who xanit and it'll return everyone in the guild that's online too. I'm not sure if it limits the search parameters to one word or not, but I don't think you need the all.

I went back to Everquest. I just couldnt justify the $49 for a game I knew I wasnt in love with (based on open beta impressions). Im on the Venekor server, or whatever. I think it's factional PVP. I went for the good guys since they always seem undermanned.

If they offer a chance for us to move off monolith and onto an Open RVR server I'm all for it. Seems doubtful though.

i am def. interested in moving to an open RvR server, i dont really see why everyone didnt start on one anywaysyou buncha newbs.

most of us are in t3-t4, i'd say between 27-40

Wolfenburgh has a large and even population but seriously lacks in teamwork (at least on the oder side). We're likely going to move from there if we can. There are a large number of VGers on Bechafen an Praag as well. I have a few destruction rolled on Praag already so likely would move to Bechafen.

Do you guys think the moves will be restricted? If it's open for everyone and some of you do move, which looks good to you? I'd love to be on the same server as you guys.
