I get sick of holding out hope for good sandbox mmos but this is looking promising. A pvp system I can live with.

I plan to try ArchAge for sure, but couple issues with that review.. the reviewer's "excitement" over the quest system allowing 11/10 or 8/10 kills was rather laughable, that was his idea of an innovative new spin? He liked the idea of quests being the main way of getting xp and gold? Very uninspiring.
The pvp system, the reviewer thinks that harvesting resources will lead to pvp? Without knowing all the details, going only by what the review guy said.. I foresee people not flagging for pvp and instead allowing themselves to be murdered. Why? Because the murderers will goto jail and then they won't have to worry about them for a while and will be free to continue harvesting. After that it will come down to a matter of who can have the most harvesters in one spot in a bluebie race, assuming resources are limited. The solution sounds too simplistic, and all people have to do is line up enough people to be murdered to get people sent to jail.
Do they simply get teleported to jail as soon as they hit a magic number? Or do authorities show up to arrest them? Hell, back in the UO days, there used to be player posses that formed to hunt down murderers and find their dens, kill them and take all their shit, forcing them out of business for a while and out of the area.. With this system, it sounds like you just let the game hold your hand and don't worry about "bad guys" getting away with anything much. Player enforced rules is the way to go, otherwise it's not really a sandbox, not fully.

I trust no one about the grind in an Asian MMO, until they have reached max level. I got level 30 in the Beta for Aion and was stoked to play the game on release. Little did I know that level 1-30 were the only fun levels in the entire game. Level 31-50 was an obscene leveling curve without a single good instance to compete with the once a day one at level 25-29.
Quit looking into other MMO's and focus all attention on Tera Online.

I could live a long grind. I'm willing to try tera also. I have been with out an MMO for so long I could enjoy a totally crap game. I'm getting a kick outa SWTOR and I know its a crappy game with lame PVP.
