Figured I'd drop in and say hi. I've completed my first semester of real college... It was an interesting one. I got my pre reqs for the art major field completed but need to work on my gen eds very badly so I'll probably be taking summer classes to finish that.
My first apartment / room mate experience was awful. Two out of the three room mates were complete assholes. One of which (who wanted me in there in the first place) turned into a complete dick trying everything in his power to make my life and my GFs into a complete mess. My GF and I were too intelligent for him so he hated it the most that we couldn't be manipulated. The other one found out that my parents saved up money for college for me and demanded me monthly to pay for everyones rent / utilities to, "Help out the apartment." The other room mate had a cat who would piss on anything that you owned and made the apartment have a very strong scent of cat pee. None of them would clean up after themselves and the kitchen has smelled like rotten milk for a month.
So, I am actually putting my security deposit down on a new apartment tomorrow and will be living with my girlfriend (Should be fun and interesting we've basically been living together for over three months anyway). The room has brand new carpet, cabinets, fridge and kitchen / bathroom tile. The rent is a bit more than what I'm paying now but it's closer to campus and they pay for all utilities minus electric so it evens out. Also we are planning to keep it very clean and it doesn't smell like cat piss which after four months I never got used too.
I'm looking forward to the next semester greatly because the drama in my old place has just been overwhelming. The lesser of the dick room mate said it best when he said, "It's like I'm living with a bunch of girls." He told me he was sorry for what happened between me and them and that he didn't help. He understands why I'm leaving because he knows it isn't much fun for me to be there. I'm very excited for tomorrow morning because then I can start moving in and actually sleep in my own bed which I haven't for almost two weeks now.
Anyway, glad to see you all around still. Hope you are kicking Vanguard ass. Everyone have a fun safe drunk break and I'll see some of you on LIVE around the 13th!
