The game is still a bit buggy, but I'm completely full-fledged EQ hooked on it. Love it. The bugs are getting squashed every week though.

Yea the game is awesome. Sure, it still has some bugs, it got pushed out the door by Sony before the Sigil team wanted to release it, but they are working on stuff and patching every few days. It's already much more playable for me than it was two weeks ago. I'm really loving it though. It's the game I've been looking for ever since EverQuest got old for me years ago and I burned out on it. I've played many other games since, the longest being over a year in WoW, but none of them satisfied. I'm not busting on WoW, there's a lot of fun to be had there, and the PvP experience in WoW has been the best integrated and most fun I've had in any MMO. But PvE wise, WoW had a lot left to be desired for me. I felt like I was always on EZ Mode, and I hated how quickly you could max out your levels, it gave me no sense of accomplishment. Plus I disliked all the instanced dungeons, etc. Especially sad was that nobody seemed to group much in WoW, except for the instances, there was just no need to most of the time. I hated that, because I've always far preferred grouping.

So I'm really excited about Vanguard so far. The world is beautiful, vibrant and alive, and rich in depth and lore. I could see myself playing this game for 3 years, hardcore, and still not have accomplished everything I want to with my character. We'll see though.

Its great seeing you guys....I dont know if my system will run vanguard, its WAY below the recommended specs....but im trying to snake a buddy key off of one of my eq2 guildmates to check it out.......I was very excited when i saw XK on the vanguard guild search, and even more excited when I saw the members....I havnt seen alot of you in a couple years, be great to game together again.

Now these are some names from the past...can't belive almost everyone is back...why the f didn't I get this game sooner, been playing gimp ass ddo...instances suck and the pvp is so gimp. They don't know real pvp on that game, sweating over getting raped while engaged with a mob. Here you go to an Arena and I always say in DDO its pretty much rock, paper, scissors.
