So a group of us have decided to check out EQ2, again. So far it's been fun as hell. If you're bored, download the free 14 day trial and join us on the Nagafen server playing on the Freeport side.

» Torrent - Darkfall NA1

Aug 19, 2009 - 1:40 AM - by Sumdyar_VZ
Xanit K`Ven enters the North American release of Darkfall!

It's been quite a while since our last update. Currently we aren't playing a single game as a whole, but have small branches split up between multiple games. As the majority of our leadership isn't playing Darkfall with us we've been flying the Torrent guild tag, a guild tag we previously used as our application guild in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.

There is a grand total of eight of us playing Darkfall. Even though we only have a small force it hasn't stopped us from contributing to the larger scale of politics across Agon.

We've been shitting in peoples mouths daily, but only a few days ago did we get to participate in our first official siege, as the Nameless challenged us for control of Mathyra. Beaster Master, Supreme General of Nameless started a shard carrier siege against us and quickly retreated to Icon's guild city to hide...

Icon is the largest guild on the server, with 181 members to it's name. They're also part of the Sons of Nithron alliance, one of the largest alliances on the server. As we were a simple eight man, independent clan, we knew that we would likely need outside assistance.

The Zealot alliance quickly contacted us and offered us their mercenary assistance which we accepted. The Zealot alliance, with a mere 28 players defended our hamlet against the attacking Icon/Nameless force of 45-50 players. Meanwhile seven Torrent and three friends from The Exodus Syndicate assaulted the Icon city to kill the shard carrier. He was heavily defended, but we managed to put him down and win the siege! It wasn't really that hard actually, the guy holding the shard ran around in circles on a battlehorn like a downsbaby.

An eight man clan defeats a zerg alliance. Yeah, we raped his face.

Over in the wonderful land of World of Warcraft we also have a branch setup on the Mannoroth server. They're too fucking lazy to send me screenshots of their progress, but they've beat all of that scripted shit and are well into making a name for themselves in the Arena. This surprised me as these three superstars are the ones currently in charge...

Whatever, fuck WoW, that game is fucking stupid. Grats on your progress in that horrible game, assclowns.

In other news our good friend Mebble finally graduated from high school and got his first hand job from a swamp donkey named Blanche. He invited her back to his place to play a few games of 'stab the cat' and 'harpoon the whale', but she wasn't down. Sorry Mebble Peck, but congratulations on graduating! In his overwhelming excitement he sent us pictures of his school photos so we could view the boy that he used to be, and the man that he has now become!

Keep on grinning sir, keep on grinning!

» The Shame of Xanit

Sep 27, 2008 - 5:27 PM - by ismaris
So we're playing this now

And I wish I were able to start our WAR saga with a cheerful posting on the merits of the game and how much fun we are having, but unfortunately it will not be so. Events have unfolded within the past few days that have spurred a guild-wide, XKstential meltdown.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the perpetrator:

Unfortunately terribad, 'not remembering' does not exonerate you from your crime. What you did was too heinous an act, evidencing too malicious a malady, to ever be washed fully clean.

Bear witness to the dawning of our shame:

Notice the painfully slow edging of reality creep into the terribad's brain. He progresses from professing absolute innocence of his crime, to merely being "pretty sure."

Where do we move from here? How can Xanit K'Ven continue as a symbol, nay a beacon, of morality in the online gaming community with its members treating their very family in such a manner? The officers are meeting as we speak discussing the guild's future, but can XK have any future after enduring such an inescapable taint?

Only time will tell...
